Dawn moved to Waiheke in January 2000.
She managed rodents on her own Waiheke properties for 17 years before starting Waiheke Rodent Services. Dawn is passionate about community, gardens and our environment. She is a resident at the Awaawaroa Eco Village with her 2 teenagers.
Dawn enjoys foraging for and arranging dried flowers, journeying with gardens and relishing local food & wine with friends and family.
Rahn grew up on Waiheke Island spending much of his time as a child playing by himself in the bush.
He has almost 25 years experience in the industry cultivating native plants and working on restoration projects.
Rodent control is incredibly important for the health of our native bush. Not only do rats and mice predate on birds and their eggs, but they also do a lot of damage to forest regeneration by eating the seeds and fruits of trees.
When he’s not actively working to look after the ecological health of Waiheke, he can be found out in the surf, or drinking coffee and playing guitar to his chickens.
Robyn has lived on Waiheke Island for 20 years. She has 3, now adult children who grew up here and all have a love of the natural environment that they enjoy.
Robyn has enjoyed watching the return of the birds over the last few years, and has put this down to the hard work of the many volunteers and property owners who have for many years, contributed to local pest control efforts.
She loves meeting people and helping people to live rodent-free in their homes and enjoy the beautiful native birds in their gardens.
